Who are we?
Joshua Project is a prayer initiative to reclaim colleges and universitiesfor God, transforming our educational institutions by the power of concerted prayer, by believers praying both inside and outside of each school.
Who you are in Christ?
You are not an insignificant man or woman. You are a Spiritual Giant in which the Glory of God could manifest (John 14:12; Col. 1:27). You are part of the Great Commission of God, following Jesus steps and rebuilding the ancient ruins, raising up the age-old foundation. God calls you Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings. When you pray, you bring the reality of Heaven to Earth (Matt 6:10). Be available and God will make you able.
Why Harvard University?
Harvard University, the first college established by Christian leaders in this country in 1636, is a historic location and strategic institution for our prayers. Next to Harvard we have the Cambridge Common, where George Washington established the Continental Army on July 3rd, 1775, one year before Independence Day.
History:
Harvard was the first college in America, and it was established only sixteen years after the landing of the Pilgrims in 1620. Every Harvard student was required to attend two prayer services during the day, in the morning and evening. The purpose of Harvard, according to it’s Christian founders, was to train a literate clergy. Ten out of twelve presidents of Harvard were ministers. Over fifty percent of the seventeenth-century Harvard graduates became ministers. Harvard college was founded in “Christi Gloriam”and later dedicated “Christo et Ecclesiae.”The founders of Harvard believed that: All knowledge without Christ was vain. It is worthy of note that 106 of the first 108 schools in America were founded on the Christian faith.
When John Harvard and his colleagues founded Harvard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1636, it was established in the fear of God. During the centuries since that time the Biblical foundations have eroded. Harvard University and the surrounding universities and colleges have moved into the spiritual shadows (2 Cor. 4:4) through “philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ” (Col 2:8). Would you join us in prayer that blinders may be removed so that the light of God’s blessing can return to these halls of learning?
Almost 600.000 new students come to colleges and universities in the United States every year. They bring all the world’s religious influences to the country. Because many American students are not Christ-centered, they cannot share with others salvation through Jesus Christ. Massachusetts alone has about 130 colleges and universities.
MISSIONS:
The future of World Missions is in the hands of professionals coming from the universities and colleges. Because of the 9/11 attack, the United States has closed its borders. Instead of sending their students, many countries now import American teachers to work in their colleges. For centuries Christian missions were done by people who are struggling to survive in foreign lands. Today the marketplace is the mission field of Christian professionals coming from colleges and universities. In the coming years we are expecting great miracles, signs and wonders through the faith of ordinary students inside of college and university campuses. The day is coming that Jesus will be present, honoring and participating directly through miracles and releasing special anointing over His children, as they lay hands on people.
PRAYER & FASTING – 21 Days - Following Daniel’s Fast

We invite you to join us in Prayer and Fasting for 21 Days, if you can. This year we are going to use Daniel’s Fast (Daniel 10:2- 3) *”At that time I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks. I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over*. Daniel seems to have established a diet of fruits and vegetables, we don’t know exactly. Today that would be like a fast in which we only eat beans and vegetables, fruits and juices or a combination of them to set ourselves apart for Jesus to be led and used by Him in our prayers. How many meals a day? You decide

Fruits or juices: Yes
Vegetables: Yes
Suggestion: Increase your Bible reading and focus on your relationship with God through prayer.
STRONG MAN:
God told us to bind the strong man (Luke 10:17-19; Matt 12:28-29; Luke 11:21-22; Mark 3:27; Eph. 6:12-20; 2 Cor 10:3-5; Col. 2:15; Rom. 16:20), before we enter the house to bring souls to Jesus Christ. Controlling spirits are trying to hold back the blessings God has for the nation. The hope for one nation is a good education system, but we need God’s administration to reach this goal.
Christian Fellowships
During many years we met many Christian leaders, each one doing their best to bring God’s Light to the colleges. Each one may carry out different strategies, but the vision is the same: to establish the Kingdom of God in their schools.
Working in Unity
The most beautiful answer to prayer has been the unity God is bringing in our midst, in order to achieve His goals. Please join us during the 24 Hour Prayer at Harvard and receive this special anointing from God. To work closer with each other we need God’s touch.
During the 24 Hour Prayer
We have pastors, leaders and teachers coming to pray and also pass on the vision. Without vision from God, it is impossible to reach the students. Good intentions alone don’t work. We need to be equipped not by learning alone, but also by receiving the gifts God has for each one of us. Come and learn how to lead a prayer meeting, and how to listen God’s voice.
Without strategic prayer—prayer that is directed by God’s Spirit—it is impossible to increase evangelism inside of institutions of higher education. We have great ministries and committed leaders working hard. The results are great. Many college students are being reached, but this is not enough to bring the great changes and revival that God wants. We need more prayers. As I write this invitation, I remember one of the Christian leaders, who returned to his country and this month he is preaching the Gospel in a Muslim country. He established prayer inside of the Army of his country and brought many to Jesus. As he left, others are doing the same, because he prepared them. The characteristic of his success is REGULAR STRATEGIC PRAYER that is led by God’s Spirit.
Strategic and specific prayers are needed in order to remove the power of darkness inside of institutions of higher education. We need your presence at Harvard University, because it represents the ROOTS of higher education in the United States.
How does God want you to discern the spirits that move inside of your college? What does God want us to do about them? How we do battle the darkness that keeps people from being ABLE to see the Glory of Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 4:4)? How many students do we need to start a prayer group? How we can start a prayer cell? How can I receive authority from Jesus to pray strategically and be led by God’s Spirit in prayer? How can I grow in God’s presence? How can I reach my friends for Jesus? If my friend is sick, how can Jesus use my prayers to bring His healing? How can I pray the Word of God over my friends?
ANOINTING HARVARD, BOSTON and surrounding cities and key locations using a helicopter
We do this every year anointing key locations on the ground and also in the air by helicopter. We ask God to show us the leaders He wants to do the job. Usually we have two helicopter flights, by faith and the leading of God’s Spirit, removing the legal rights and power of the principalities of the air through repentance and prayers that exalt the name of Jesus. We do prayers and declarations during the flight. During this procedure people have visions and discernments from God. It is done by faith in Jesus Christ.
