An account of Student CPx Austin from Lauren, a University of Texas student church planter.

I must say Student CPx Austin far surpassed my expectations. I always
hear people say, “If you’re vision seems possible to accomplish, than
you’re not dreaming big enough.” Real visions should be so extreme, so
ridiculous, so unlikely, that only God could do it. What happened at
CPx was so extreme, so ridiculous, and so unlikely, that looking back
I know it was all God who did it. I’m like, God I couldn’t even dream
that up if I tried.

So this is how I measure fruit- not by how powerful the worship was,
not by a number count of how many people came to Christ, nor by how
many people came to the training…. real fruit = personal
transformation. And that’s exactly what we saw.

Short memories pass through my mind of moments that are hard to think
about without crying. The tears that came from a simple prayer
breaking off generational curses. The intense freedom and joy that
released God’s children into dancing as two students got baptized, not
as a ceremony like the first time, but as a celebration. Guys, yes
guys, weeping at the effects of the church coming together in genuine
care, relationship, and fellowship; the profound contrast between
being used in order to advance someone’s ministry… and being
loved… in order to be loved. I remember Jesus baptizing some
students in ways that we couldn’t… with the Holy Spirit and with
fire. And the grateful response to being healed… by the One whose
favorite activity is to heal every type of sickness and disease.
Students leaving with new outlooks on life, with testimonies bound to
be repeated, with a vision that chills the flesh, and a hunger that
cannot be satisfied. Three teams forming, one that will shake and
transform Joplin, Missouri, one that will fill TCU with God’s glory,
and one that will usher in the long-due revival at UT. And we will
never forget that night of prayer when we lingered in the presence of
Jesus together till our bodies demanded sleep. “His presence is life.
His absence is death.” We heard it from Brian, but we learned it from
experience.

I can’t handle the history. I just freak out. Two students named
Joshua and Caleb begin to pray and preach, longing for a move of God
they never saw with their eyes… but something was shifting the
spiritual realm. Simultaneously Lee Myers begins to bring the kingdom
of God to earth, walking in faith and healing the sick… before
disease attacks back and takes his life. God marks the students. And
then He calls forth fathers and mothers. They all begin to see the
vision that was in His eyes… all at the same time… and by destiny
they find each other and start the first Student CPx. One year later,
there are three Student CPx’s. And two of those who attended were the
firstfruits of the first CPx. The story continues. The weave of divine
appointments continues to tangle, and the tree that started as a tiny
seed continues to grow, until soon all the birds of the air will find
shelter there. Sam Lee said at the first CPx, “If we were to witness
the glory of God’s plan, we would die.” Just a glance into a fragment
of it, and I’m feeling sick. All I can say is, prepare the way of the
Lord.

There is nobody who can do what our Jesus just did. I can hear Kirk
Franklin calling…”Can I get a witness in the house?!”

Light was created to alleviate darkness. Sometimes going to where the darkness is reminds us how powerful the light really is. Jesus often hung out with the “kinds of people” who had been bound by the darkness.

Campus Church interns this summer are hanging out with some of “those kinds of people” and are seeing the light of Jesus shine in some dark places.

Every day, they spend time in prayer, word, and worship. Then they hit the campus and take to the streets encountering people who don’t yet know Jesus. They come back with their stories, we talk about them, pray, then they go out again to build off what they’re learning.

A couple snapshots from the last week.

“I Want My Money Back From the Psychic Shop”

Scene from Downtown Lawrence:

Brad (Intern Program Leader): “Hey there’s a couple coming out of a psychic shop. Let’s go talk to them. They must be spiritually hungry.”
Ken (Intern working at ASU): “OK.”
Brad: “Hi, did you just get a spiritual reading in the psychic shop? How was it?”
Couple: It was pretty good.
Brad: How much did it cost?
Couple: $20
Brad: Would you like another kind of “spiritual reading” for free?
Couple: Uh…ok
Brad: I should tell you we speak from a different power source though – Jesus. We pray for people and sometimes He gives us words to say for people. You want to try it?
Couple: OK

Brad and Ken laid hands on the couple and began to pray for them in the name of Jesus.
They told the couple thoughts they had about them while they prayed.
They shared Jesus’ love and power with them. They spoke of God’s encouragement and healing to areas of woundedness.
The couple nodded their head in amazement at the accuracy of the prayers, affirming that the prayers spoke to what they were going through.

After they were done, the couple said,

“I want my money back from the Psychic Shop. This was better.”

Jesus’ power is always better than the cheap counterfeits the world offers.
Sometimes it just takes a follower of Jesus to step out in faith and reach someone who seems far away.

Later that night…

Interns Head to The Bars

Interns head to the bar scene in downtown Lawrence. Here you can find about every subculture you could think of seeking sex, drugs, and anything else that can fill the spiritual void in their hearts. The interns hit the streets until well after midnight, ministering to people who may have never seen the love and truth of Jesus demonstrated to them before.

They talked with homosexuals.
They hung out with musicians.
They prayed for people seeking drugs and the party scene.
They loved on those who had never felt love from a follower of Jesus before.

Jesse, a strong young intern from Western Pennsylvania walked up to a man with a limp and asked if she could pray for him. While standing there, a young homosexual guy who was there with his boyfriend said, “I’ve never been prayed over before. Could you pray for me?” The group of interns surrounded him, told him about Jesus, and prayed for him. This prompted a conversation with the young man that went on til after 1am.

Sometimes the greatest grace is found in the places of greatest darkness. Jesus loved sinners and hung out with them.

Pray for these interns to bring the transforming power of the gospel into many people’s lives this summer — and go back to their campuses ready to bring more fruit of God’s kingdom!

Love the unloveable this week and bring the power of Jesus into people’s lives around you.

Around 20plus ppl received christ in a simple concert in school. just simple because when JESUS lifted up from the earth , will draw all men to him.

A testimony from a team from the International House of Prayer .

Some Highlights:

-Prophetic discovery of our camp. We waited on the Holy Spirit, and He gave each of us different pictures, words, etc. related to the location of our camp. As we forged ahead into the Gathering, we saw most of the words, and He led us right to the spot. This increased our confidence that we were setting up camp exactly where the Lord wanted us.

-It rained steadily the first two days of the trip, during which time we hauled all of our camp “stuff” for 2.5 miles each trip. We were exhausted and came to a place of utter dependence on the Lord. Scriptural motif: circumcision at Gilgal before taking Jerico. I do remember that at one point I was utterly exhausted, and when I went into the prayer tent, the Lord’s presence came and I felt a supernatural strengthening that enabled me to carry several more loads before nightfall.

-We named our camp “Goshen.” As we visited other camps, it seemed to me that the instances and severity of poison ivy were reduced in our camp. It was everywhere, and we all should have had it more severely than we did.

-When we carried the prayer tent into the camp, because of the size of the tent and the distance to the camp, we needed about 6 men to carry it. We carried it on poles on our backs, and it looked like we were carrying the Ark. There were a number of passers-by who asked if we were carrying the Ark. It was a powerful prophetic picture. We found the perfect place for the tent: a little hill that overlooked the camp. The worship – raw, bold, and straight from the heart – was some of the best I’ve ever experienced. The Lord’s delight was on that little prayer tent. In one of our teammates’ terms, we were “soggy sacrifices.”

-One evening, God multiplied food was as we continued to feed an increasing number of people.

-We had many conversations on the Main Trail. The Holy Spirit came on a number of people through simple conversations along the trail. One night, Chuck was walking and asking people why they had come. Many of them began to weep.

-Many of us noticed that the batting average for healings really went up. Many took notice of the number of healings. Some were healed of poison ivy, cuts, and one woman was instantly healed of a knee injury. She began to tremble with the fear of the Lord as He healed her. One man was instantly healed of a toe injury, and another healed of a foot injury.

-One of the most enjoyable evenings was sharing a cross-cultural gospel presentation in a camp called “Pop-corner.” This camp makes popcorn all night, and they invited us to come to their camp and “drum” with them. We used drums and the harp and bowl format to sing a gospel presentation that employed Rainbow terminology and culture. We sang the gospel from the Creation to the Judgment. One person who started to sing along apparently got filled with the Spirit. 2-3 people got saved through this event, and 7-10 received prayer and prophetic ministry. Some were weeping as we prayed and prophesied over them.

-We tried to share the gospel in the Jewish camp, but were asked to leave.

-Many people who visited the camp received healing prayer or prophecy. One demonized man walked into the camp, and the Spirit’s presence was heavy. He said that he didn’t want to leave the camp because it was the only place where he did not feel tormented.

-One morning, the Lord told two in our midst to walk around Jerico seven times. We knew that Jerico meant the place where they would have the main “Om circle” on July 4. When these two arrived at the circle, there were two pagan altars on the island in the river. As they walked, something amazing happened. After two or three laps, they came around the corner, and the first altar had fallen to the ground. No one had touched the altar. As they continued to walk, some kids who were swimming in the river got out of the river and tore down the other altar. Both altars fell down without us touching them. The Lord brought down the walls of Jerico.

-Throughout the two weeks, the Lord had been using Elijah’s encounter with the prophets of Baal to prepare us for a power encounter. On July 4, the Rainbow Family meets in the center of a field, where they hold hands and pray to their pantheon of gods via an “Omm circle.” This year there was no field, so they met at the river. When we got to the river, the Holy Spirit came on one of the leaders from a group from Pennsylvania that had joined our camp, and he said that the Lord wanted us to actually be in the river. The Lord also spoke this independently to the person in the prayer tent. So, we went into the river and formed our own circle within the circle. We were about 25-30. 10-20,000 Rainbows gathered on the banks of the river. They formed a circle and were looking in. In the river, we formed our own circle and were facing outward. We were eye to eye with them. As they began to “Om,” one from our midst blew the shofar 7 times, and another broke his staff on the water. We chanted “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty.” While we did this, some demonized guy who looked like Satan from the passion stood on the bank of the island where the Asherah pole was and began to stare us down. His lips were moving and it seemed as if he were trying to curse us. However, we prayed in the Spirit, and by the end of the encounter, this man had fallen on his face. The spiritual atmosphere in our camp that night was totally changed. It seemed as if there was not a demon for miles.

GOD IS MOVING IN THE HEARTS OF STUDNETS AT UCR! my gosh i dont know what to
say. we are seeing spiritual breakthrough on campus!

a brother of mine whos the president of aacf has just told me that tonight’s
meeting at aacf experienced something special. some unbelievers came to the
meeting and started searching and asking about who God is.

last night a random man who had the gift of prophecy overheard our prayers
and came to prophecy over that group praying. he said that this generation
is the generation that God will use to break the curse over this nation.

ive received personal breakthrough too! i have literally prayed for a total
of 24hours. God has allowed the time to go by fast and i have heard from
God. there have been little or no people coming to pray in the early
mornings and afternoons mainly because of class im guessing but God has told
me that it is not the numbers he is concerned about but about the genuosity
of his people’s hearts and their prayers! let us be people who are genuine!

even though numbers is not an issue God has moved in the hearts of his
people to come late at night to pray. the prayer was seriously up to
capacity. there was no room to walk! some had to stand outside! tonight the
room is full too!

God has moved strategically and with purpose these past 2 days! as the time
goes deeper into the 72 hours God has amplified his presence more and more!
we have been praying for unity and tonight for the first time people are
praying for one another. people from different fellowships are in the same
room praying together as i write this email!

different students have come to one another and prophesied over each other
too! a girl from my bible study received a word from another girl. as she
received the word she was moved to tears and new revelation of who God is.
GOD IS WORKING ON A PERSONAL LEVEL! REVIVAL STARTS WITHIN US FIRST! PRAISE
GOD!

there is still one more day left. unfortunately i cannot participate much on
the last day since i have a final to study for coming this friday. PLEASE
PRAY FOR US EVEN IF ITS ONE SENTENCE! the enemy is fighting against us and
God has REVEALED TO US THAT THE ENEMY IS DESPERATE!!!!! some of the leaders
have seen spiritual warfare but it was so obvious and stupid and petty we
sense that the enemy is using whatever he can get to fight us and bring us
down. PRAY FOR GODS PROTECTION WE KNOW THE VICTORY IS OURS THOUGH!

that is all. blessings to all. pray for more prayer warriors to fill the
empty time slots on thursday. good night!

Hey family (from enoch)

i hope your week is going well. I wanted to release a praise report to every one about what happened at PC Anonymous (haha) our sunday night church that meets on campus.

2 HEALINGS!!!!!!! normail stuff right?

after a real good time of praising dad we all waited on God for a bit. During my waiting my right shoulder began to hurt, like a stabbing pressure pain. At first i thought it was nothing but then I realized the holy spirit was giving me a word of knowledge (gotta give thanks to the holy spirit for that). after we returned to the group I told the church about the word of knowledge and a new girl visiting, her name is christine, told us that her shoulder/neck was hurting and that her neck rotation was not well. So we laid hands and prayed and of course God healed (praise the lord!). it was awesome

BUT THEN

Brian (a student at ucla) raised his hand and told us that he had fractured his right foot and that he wanted us to pray for him. So we were all like HECK YEAH GOD CAN HEAL LET’s DO THIS (especiialy rajan! lol). abe, jaeson, caleb, rajan, and i all got up and all laid hands on brian and jaeson handed each of us anointing oil (haha!). abe led us in prayer, beganto invite the holy spirit, and we all came into agreement. we got a little breakthrough and then jaeson began to pray and we saw complete healing (bones being put back into place and soreness being removed) to the point that Jaeson led Brian to walk around the room. PRAISE GOD!!!

but of course with divine healing one must have it checked out by a doctor to make sure (but we know that God completely healed it) everything is alright.

yes praise the LORD

also one more thing

Abe afterwards was telling Jaeson and I that this should be normal at all our church meetings. that we should make healing the sick something that is as natural as eating with each other or worship. So i encourage all when you meet together (actually jaeson told me to tell everyone) for church or gatherings, begin with asking if anyone is sick or has pain. pray and heal them

good bye for now family

Written by a 13 years old young boy from Taiwan. He was in a group with another two 13 years old boys.

Yesterday Jaeson told us to go out and preach the gospel, to save Taiwan and to save Taipei and to save this City this Nation. As we prayed we saw a board with white letters on it, the letters are not so clear. And in the back is a 7-11 store. Another saw a book store with many bookshelves, many books and magazines there. Another saw a very weak(mentally) person. So we went to find it, we walked about 15 mins. We saw a book store with a board and white letters on it. And behind it is a 7-11. Right before we enter the store I saw (received) a number “30″ and one blue bird and one purple bird. So we enter the bookstore…lots of books and bookshelves!:) so we went to magazines area looking for “blue and purple” color. Amazingly we find out the store keeper wears a purple shirt and blue trousers, and her working uniform has number”30″ on it! We decided to buy a book so we can talk to the keeper as we cash out. As we cash out we ask her is there anything we can pray for, she said pray for the peace of this store, she gladly received our prayer. This is the first time we experience miracles in our life, God blessed people through our prayer. It’s wonderful.

We started the new church October 29th, in the apartment of one of our grad students. It has been awesome!!!! Some days we’ll spend up to eight hours together–not because we have to, but because we WANT to. Three of those hours are usually prayer/bible study/worship, and then we eat lunch together and fellowship.

We are experiencing Acts 2 fellowship like we’ve never seen before. And the Sunday before Christmas we had a really special blessing. Two of our members were baptized (we borrowed a local church facility for that.) Both of them have come to a relationship with Christ while at CMU–one of them just since the church started.

In the Spring we’re hoping to branch off and add two more house churches. We’re just growing too big for the one apartment. Then we’ll all come back together every third week for a corporate worship time and a meal.

Another exciting thing is that our church has a passion and a heart for the nations. That is something that is important to us. We want to be about God’s GLOBAL purposes, and that is already starting to happen.

It’s been incredible. God is good. People around us think we’re crazy, since it’s totally untraditional and we live in a strongly “religious” area.

Anyway, I am writing you today to share just a bit of what God is doing among us here in NJ.

I am very encouraged to see God is sparkling a lot of revival spirit all over the campuses around the world.

As a Rutgers Alumni, I am very excited for Rutgers. God is moving among a lot of students toward prayer and fasting and crying out for the campus, the nation, and the world.

There is a sister named Bethany who has great news to share about what God is doing on Rutgers campus with 24-7 prayer. I will let her share… =P

Media is calling the ranking of Rutgers in top 10 in college football as a Rutgers Revival. I believe God is putting Rutgers on the map not only with football, but I am confident that God will do that for us in spiritually as well.

A few of us who gathered to pray all sense that God is going to move.

Rutgers was among Princeton, Brown, and Dartmouth as a direct result of the great awakening to train christian ministers and missionaries. God will restore our heritage and calling.

Looking forward to see God moving all over the world.

W.

I am David (the youth pastor who is writing a book) From Kaohsiung FIGHT.K.
In the last day of this conference (Sat.), the Holy Spirit told me: “It’s the time for the revival coming to Kaohsiung!!” After the conference, one pastor of Agape also taught us that he received the Word from God: “the 4th wave of the Holy Spirit (the Spring Rain) is coming!!”

It really happened HERE!!

From that day on, our prayer meeting FIRED!!

EVEN IN THIS WEEKEND, LOTS of MIRACLES IMMEDIATELY happened in FIGHT.K!
EX:
3 Lordosis get healed when we pray!!
5 Different length of arms were growing when we pray!! We even took
the video!!
The others sickness of shoulders, throat, stomach got healed when we
pray!!
And a new believer’s tumor on finger became smaller after we prayed!!
Besides, new people came to our youth meeting and believed in Jesus more and more!!
PRAISE THE LORD!!

The most exciting part for me is “these miracles were not happened thought my prayer, but through OUR YOUNG PEOPLE (even not the cell leaders)”. Most of them just knew that God can do miracles, but didn’t really believe that God will do miracles thought them. But Now they DO BELIEVE that GOD WILL SURELY USE THEM MIGHTILY & EXPECTED that!! Even one of them just believed Jesus 2 weeks ago. When she prayed, the Lordosis got healed, too!

WE BELIEVED THE SPRING RAIN HAS COME!
WE BELIEVED THE ANOINTING OF THE AZUSA STREET REVIVAL WAS LANDING.
WE BELIEVED WE ARE THE FIRST FRUITS OF THE REVIVAL IN KAOHSIUNG.
WE BELIEVEE THAT GOD WILL USE YOUNG PEOPLE MIGHTILY EVEN THEY WERE JUST SAVED.

AND WE BELIEVED THERE WILL BE MORE & MORE WONDERFUL THINGS HAPPENED HERE, BECAUSE THE PRESENCE OF GOD IS HERE AND HE IS ANOINTING US.

Thanks again for your blessing!!

FIGHT.K LOVES YOU!!

David
